WNU Women: PIP DURELL

To celebrate the launch of the Fine Poplin collection, WNU Founder & CEO Pip Durell collaborated with renowned fashion stylist and photographer Cathy Kasterine to shoot a portrait series of women who inspire the brand.

Pip Durell is the Founder and CEO of WNU. A former Tatler Editor and Vogue Stylist, Durell saw the gap in the market for well priced, high quality women’s shirting. Combining her fashion knowledge, styling credentials with sustainability and her own very English, effortless approach to dressing, WNU was launched in 2017 to fill this gap.

The Interview:

My name is Pip and I’m founder of WNU.

Why did you start your business?

I was a stylist and I was finding there weren’t enough good shirts for women that were sustainably made and at an accessible price point.

How do you wear your WNU?

All day every day !!!

What do you wish you'd known before you started?

Um… what a rollercoaster it would be and to strap in!

Is there one woman in particular who has impacted your career?

Is it very cliche to say my mum? She has always been a cheerleader for everything I wanted to do and she has always supported every stupid idea I've had.

What is your New Year resolution?

To enjoy the moment more and to worry less.

What would you have said to your younger self?

To slow down, that it will all fall into place and not be in such a rush.

What are your goals for 2024?

I want to expand WNU more geographically, I want to grow our team, and for me personally… I want to do a road trip in America.
